Mel is making boeuf bourguignon this week... tender, winey prime beef with roasted mushrooms and bacon lardons. There'll be Schaner's cippolini onions in the box that you can roast and add in as well. You can serve your beef stew over mashed potatoes, or we've got dried pappardelle pasta for you to try. If you still have some Bianco DiNapoli tomatoes from Wednesday, you could also make a batch of Marcella Hazan's incredibly popular yet simple tomato sauce to have with the noodles.

Mel is also making the most of all the winter alliums with potato, leek, and green garlic soup. And since she's not spatchcocking and marinating chickens this week, we've got whole, free-range chickens on the menu.

Rui conserved a bunch of pomegranate juice and jammy figs from her trees this fall that she's turning into a vinaigrette. To go with that, we've got some lamb loin chops and Valbreso feta. This vinaigrette could also turn grains, like farro, into a substantial salad with arugula, feta, almonds, and herbs. We also thought a blue cheese would be nice with this dressing or spread on Mel's bread, so we are offering some St. Agur.

Speaking of dressings, I plan on tossing hot potatoes with the anchovy-garlic vinaigrette from this past week and thought some tuna could turn that into a meal, so we're offering yellowtail this week. You could dress it with citrus, olive oil, and flaky salt and call it Crudo; make a tuna tartare or tostada with avocado and radishes from the box; grill it along with Wednesday's artichokes and make a green garlic aioli; poach it in olive oil and crumble it on your winter Nicoise, or sear it and smear it with the oven-roasted tomatoes I beg you to make.

For something sweet, Natacha is making vegan chocolate pudding and more energy balls, those raw treats we offered for Valentine's day that eat like cookie dough. I feel like we all have our thing that get's us over the afternoon slump. For Lance, it's a sweet, cold coffee. For KB, it's a fresh pair of socks. For me, it's a ponytail. Well… Natacha's energy balls can also get you there.
